The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine (JHUSOM) Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences invites applications for a postdoctoral clinical research fellowship focused on obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), Tourette Syndrome (TS), anxiety, and related conditions. Under the mentorship of Drs. Joseph McGuire and Kesley Ramsey, the fellowship will provide training in evidence-based assessment and treatment for OCD, TS, and related disorders . This includes participation in an NIH clinical trial of a novel mindfulness-based intervention for adults with TSAvailable positions include a 100% research position, and a 50% clinical with 50% research position. Through clinical and research activities, postdoctoral scholars will have hands-on opportunities to learn more about treatments using virtual reality (VR), computer vision, machine learning, psychophysiology, and personalized assessments to guide treatment. The postdoctoral scholars will also have opportunities to provide tiered supervision to more junior trainees, and will receive mentorship in grant writing and publications.

Candidates should have completed an APA- or CPA-accredited program (inclusive of successful dissertation defense, and APA/CPA accredited internship) by the start of employment. Prior experience with mindfulness-based treatments, exposure with response prevention (ERP), and/or obsessive-compulsive and related disorders is preferred but not necessary as training will be provided. The fellowship duration is one year (with the option to renew), with an anticipated start of Summer 2024. Stipends are based on NIH-designated levels.
