Kochavim at Premium Health is looking for outstanding candidates for the Child & Adolescent Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship position. The Kochavim program at Premium Health brings superb pediatric mental health care to underserved communities through a regional consortium FQHC model. Postdoctoral fellows in the program are a part of and trained by a multidisciplinary team providing evidence-based treatments tailored to each child’s individual needs. Our program is designed to take the best of what an academic center offers clinicians by providing space and time for collaboration and learning and what a private practice offers patients by encouraging sufficient time with their clinician at each visit.

The Postdoctoral fellow will work on a team of Mental Health professionals including psychologists, psychiatrists, and clinical social workers in a highly collaborative environment that facilitates professional growth. The Pediatric Behavioral Health Department focuses on providing outpatient mental health services including psychodiagnostic evaluations, psychotherapy, and medication management for children and adolescents ages 5-18 from the nearby Boro Park community and beyond. The clinic sees a range of mental health issues including anxiety, OCD, mood disorders, ADHD and disruptive behavior disorders, and family relationship issues. Training will involve supervision in a variety of evidence-based treatments with an emphasis on behavioral, cognitive, and parent training interventions.

Fellows can expect to carry a weekly caseload of approximately 18 patients, receive 1-2 hours of individual supervision by a senior clinician, and participate in group supervision. Fellows will also participate in team case conference meetings and staff meetings and will have opportunities to attend both in-house and outside trainings and didactics.
