Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Clinical Psychology Training Programs at Brown: A Consortium of the Providence VA Medical Center, Lifespan, and Care New England, offers a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Early Childhood.   This Clinical Child Psychology Specialty Program (CCPSP) postdoctoral fellowship is located in the Early Childhood Collaborative/Bradley Hasbro Children's Research Center at Bradley Hospital. 

Appropriate applicants should have an interest in specialized training in early childhood mental health and consultation in community settings. We are an interdisciplinary group of clinical and developmental psychologists who work closely with state agency partners to collaborate on the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs for young children and families. We have a commitment to social justice and to ensuring equitable access to our services. 

 

 Training opportunities may include:

1.  Infant and early childhood mental health consultation and professional development trainings in early care and education settings and home visiting.

2.  Outpatient clinic providing family-based services to children ages 0-5.

3.  Opportunities to participate in and/or lead reflective practice and supervision groups.

4.  Training and implementation of evidence-based programs, including the Incredible Years, Motivational Interviewing, and PCIT.

5.  Research and program evaluation opportunities ranging from developmental psychopathology to implementation science.

6.  Exposure to state-level early childhood systems development and policy.
