Dr. Park is a visiting scholar in the Department of Educational Administration, CEHS, University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2023 to 2024. Before joining the UNL, he has been working as a researcher for more than 10 years in Korea Institute for Curriculum and Evaluation (KICE, www.kice.re.kr), which is an educational research institute funded by the Korean government. His research interests focus on teaching English Language Learners and English reading strategies of ELLs. He is also interested in quantitative research methodologies, particularly a meta-analysis.

Currently, Dr. Park is planning to do research on the effects of educational technology use (e.g., ICT, AI chatbot, etc.) on teaching and learning for ELLs with a meta-analysis methodology. He is also preparing for research on how a school leaders’ view or perspective on the effects of educational technology use for ELLs would influence the school leader’s decision making on developing the school’s curriculum for ELLs, expanding educational technology equipment in classrooms, and funding for it.
