In addition to the various individuals within the department who you will be in close contact with during your program, there are also a number of important ways that you can keep in touch with the department, college, and university:

  • Regularly check your email account. This is where all official communications will be sent, so it is vital that you check this email account on a regular basis. The University recommends that you do NOT rely on email forwarding for your email address, as there are frequently issues with students missing out on important communications due to mail forwarding issues. You are responsible for all information sent to your account.
  • Keep your contact information up-to-date in MyRed and Canvas.
  • Log on to Canvas to check for announcements sent through the EDAD Student Success Center or program-specific Canvas pages. Depending on your Canvas communication preferences, you may also receive these announcements via email. See here for more information on setting your Canvas communication preferences.
  • Follow the Department on social media at Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.

You are always welcome and encouraged to contact your advisor, the Graduate Secretary, the Graduate Chair, or the Department Chair with questions, comments or feedback about your experiences in your program.
