Amy Willman is an American Sign Language Coordinator and Lecturer in the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders.
Before moving back to her childhood home here in Nebraska, Amy taught elementary school for three years and taught American Sign Language at Santa Fe Community College. She has many years of experience teaching American Sign Language and has direct experience with Deaf culture. Amy and her mother co-wrote a book called, "Amy Signs: A Mother and Her Deaf Daughter, and their Stories."
Amy received her bachelor's degree in elementary level and studio arts from Gallaudet University, the only Deaf university in the world. She received her master's degree in Deaf Education from McDaniel College. Amy is a certified member of the American Sign Language Teachers Association.
