The parking lot and entrance for visitors to the Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic is located on the east side of the Barkley Memorial Center. Please access the clinic parking and entrance from Holdrege Street by turning north onto 43rd Street. There is a grey “Patient Parking” sign on the north side of 43rd and Holdrege. If you have questions, concerns, or would like to schedule an appointment, please call our clinic at 402-472-2071. Our telephone hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. If we are unable to answer your call, please leave a detailed voicemail, and your call will be returned in the order it was received. Voicemails received after 4:00 p.m. will be returned on the next business day.
Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic provides services for individuals with speech, language, hearing and balance impairments. Clinic providers serve all ages and address a broad range of disorders. Services are provided by licensed and ASHA-certified speech-language pathology and audiology faculty members and graduate student clinicians in our speech-language pathology and audiology training programs.
Hearing & Balance Services
Our team of certified audiologists and graduate student clinicians provide the following services for patients of all ages:
- Comprehensive hearing evaluations
- Hearing aid selection and fitting
- Cochlear implants
- Infant hearing testing (OAE and ABR)
- Comprehensive evaluations for dizziness or imbalance
- Treatment for BPPV

Speech & Language Services
Our team of certified speech-language pathologists and graduate student clinicians provide speech and language evaluations for clients of all ages. In addition, we provide speech or language intervention for individuals with a diagnosis of or challenges related to the following:

Insurance Billing
Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic bills insurance for most covered services. Coverage and billing policies vary depending on the type of service provided and your individual insurance plan.
