As an assistant professor of practice, Hannah Ditmars teaches Auditory Electrophysiological Assessment and Humanitarian Audiology (study abroad in Nicaragua) while also working with audiology graduate students in the Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic. She enjoys the variety of working with patients of all ages, but has a particular interest in pediatrics, including Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) testing.

Hannah earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Manchester College (now Manchester University) in 2004, with a double major in sociology and French, and then earned her Clinical Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2009. Her externship gave her experience in both private practice and educational settings. Hannah then spent three years working at an otolaryngology practice before joining the faculty at Nebraska in 2014. She studied abroad in Nancy, France, and completed a Fulbright Teaching Grant in Naju, South Korea, during the 2004-05 academic year.

Hannah has her Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A), and is a member of the International Society of Audiology, the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and the Nebraska Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
