Margarita Protopopov joined the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders as the audiology assistant in July 2021.
Previously, Rita served in a variety of positions at Lincoln Public Schools from 2008-21. Most recently, she spent two years as a health technician in the health office at Clinton Elementary School from 2019-21. She also served as a paraeducator in early childhood education at Clinton from 2013-19, and was a bilingual interpreter and mentor for highly gifted students in world languages for LPS from 2008-19.
Prior to her 13-plus years with Lincoln Public Schools, Rita worked as a medical assistant in Massachusetts, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania from 1992-99. She earned her medical assistant diploma from the National Education Center in Boston, Massachusetts, in 1992. Rita completed courses in psychology, anatomy, speech development annd practical work in language development while pursuing her degree in early childhood educationn at Pedagogical School in Minsk, Russia, from 1988-90.
