The Special Education Master's Degree program offers courses in many areas of specialization. This enables students to obtain expertise with particular special populations or practices. The degree specializations generally include 12-18 credits of specific Special Education coursework, and currently include:
- Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (birth to age 21)
- Early Childhood Special Education (birth to age 5)
- Visual Impairments (birth to age 21)
- Orientation and Mobility (M.Ed. only)
Degree specializations are optional and only applicable if a student wishes to obtain training for these specific populations.
