Gayoung Choi

Gayoung Choi is a first-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Teaching,
Learning, and Teacher Education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Originally from South Korea, she is a qualified English educator and holds a
teacher's license in Elementary Education (K-6) from Korea. Her teaching
experience includes two years as an elementary teacher in a Korean public
school and three and a half years as an English teacher in two other public
schools in Korea. As a school teacher, she has various professional
experience, including being a director of the English Department in a public
school, where she taught and supervised an English native teacher working in
Korea, serving a director of the Department of Technology and Information,
and conducting academic school reports, especially for students who studied
abroad or returned to Korea.
She completed her bachelor's degree from Chuncheon National University of
Education (CNUE) with a specialization in Elementary Education and minors in
English Language. Additionally, she holds a Master of Education with a focus
on English Education from CNUE. Apart from her academic pursuits, as a
non-native speaker, she possesses a strong interest in exploring teaching
languages and their structures, as well as learning multiple languages.
