Maggan is a dedicated educator and researcher specializing in mathematics teacher education. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction she has over 15 years of experience teaching secondary mathematics and supporting preservice teachers. As a research assistant on NSF-funded projects, she focuses on preparing future educators to teach in diverse classrooms. Maggan has also worked in academic support services and university admissions. She is actively involved in professional organizations and has presented at national conferences. Passionate about equity in education, she strives to empower teachers and students through innovative teaching practices and critical consciousness development.
