FMHR Lab Research Focus

I am working with Dr. Tippens to explore the role(s) of community health workers (CHWs) as they related to refugee women’s sexual and reproductive health (SRH) in the U.S. We are conducting a series of in-depth interviews and focus group discussions to learn more about CHWs’ perceptions, practices, and trusted referral networks.

Other Research Involvements

I focus on topics related to early childhood development, specifically how we measure the development of young children and the workforce that supports families with young children. Currently, I work on a WHO project, the Global Scale for Early Development, to validate a population-level tool that can be used cross culturally. I also participate in assessment activities at a local child development center.
