Dr. Jing Wang is an assistant professor in the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. 

Jing is a certified special education teacher and holds a state-issued teaching license (LBS1; Learning Behavior Specialist 1 endorsement) from Illinois. Jing received her master’s degrees and Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). While pursuing her Ph.D. at (UIC), she served as an instructor of record for courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. 

Jing’s research primarily aims to improve mathematics outcomes for English learners (ELs) with or at risk for learning disabilities at elementary grade levels. Her methods include: (a) the development and implementation of culturally responsive mathematics interventions, and (b) empirical investigation into the specific learning needs of students with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, including ELs.
