Tessa Boesiger, Au.D., CCC-A, joined the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders as an assistant professor of practice and an audiologist in the Barkley Speech Language and Hearing Clinic in August 2022.
In her current role, Boesiger’s responsibilities include hearing evaluations, hearing aid evaluations and fitting, dizziness and balance testing, and fitting and dispensing of osseo-integrated devices and cochlear implants. She also teaches in Nebraska’s Clinical Doctorate in Audiology (Au.D.) program.
She returned to Nebraska after spending three years as an audiologist in the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Otolaryngology Department in Lubbock, Texas. While there, she conducted pediatric and adult hearing evaluations, vestibular evaluations, hearing aid evaluations and fitting, sedated auditory brainstem response (ABR) testing in PICU and operating room environments, as well as ABR testing both in-clinic and at the in-patient NICU.
Boesiger obtained all three of her degrees at Nebraska, earning her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in speech-language pathology and audiology in 2015 and 2018, respectively, and her Au.D. in 2019.
