If an admitted graduate student does not register for courses for any three consecutive terms (i.e., Spring-Summer-Fall) they are considered "inactive". The student must reactivate their program status by completing the Office of Graduate Studies online application. Enrolling in classes at UNO or UNK does not make a student "active" at UNL.
Students may request an "Academic Leave of Absence" for one or two semesters by completing the form for Academic Leave and discussing their intentions with their academic advisor.
