Au.D. Curriculum and Advising

Newly admitted Au.D. students will receive a letter during the summer prior to beginning the graduate program stipulating activities and tasks to complete before orientation week. Failure to comply may result in a delay in the student's enrollment in clinical practicum and, ultimately, graduation. At the beginning of each fall semester, the Department conducts an orientation meeting for all new graduate students. This provides an opportunity for students to receive information and ask questions about programmatic requirements, clinical practicum procedures, and other matters important for a successful graduate experience. All new Au.D. graduate students must attend this meeting. Students will be assigned their academic adviser at this time.

Appendix 1 provides the student with an advising form to use as a "road map" of curriculum and academic requirements for the Au.D. program. Use this form for determining class registration throughout the program. Be aware that this is a "fluid" document and may change as students matriculate through the program.
