In this emphasis, students explore multiple aspects of event management, everything from logistics—budgets, site selection, contracts, vendor management, food and beverage—to the design side. The program is designed for you to apply what you have learned through planning actual events for the community within your structured classwork all the way up to opportunities for customized internships in your particular focus area, all while building your resume and expanding your network of industry connections.

Each fall, senior event management students have the opportunity to travel to Las Vegas to network with industry professionals in one of the country's largest tradeshows.
PCMA North American Student Competition
Students have the opportunity to compete for top recognition in the meeting and events industry (plus up to $10,000 in prizes) for having the most innovative event proposal.
