In Memoriam

It is with respect and gratitude that we honor the memories of our departed colleagues who helped shape what is today, 
the Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences. 

Across more than a century of departmental evolution and change, these individuals remained steadfast in their dedication to scholarship, research, education, and service to the University of Nebraska. With contributions extending far beyond academic achievement, they made lasting impacts within their fields, forged long-standing personal connections, and shared invaluable wisdom with colleagues and students alike. Each mentored generations of students, advanced crucial research which served to improve human health, and fostered a community of excellence within our department and throughout the University.

Their legacies live on in our ongoing mission and in the countless lives they touched as educators, researchers, and colleagues. We are grateful for the foundation they built and the path they illuminated for those who follow.
