Dr. Kang's research focuses on designing and managing experiencescapes in travel destinations and understanding how emerging mobile information technologies and social media can support the creation and management of both social and emotional experiences for tourists. Additionally, she researches organizational adoption and the use of information technologies to effectively communicate and market experiential aspects and to evaluate technology-mediated tourist experiences in terms of mindfulness, emotions, and social presence.
