CH 2: Section 3 - Application Process, Part One

Complete the UNL Athletic Training Program application via the Athletic Training Centralized Application Service ATCAS website: go.unl.edu/6pkq. Within the ATCAS application, applicants must upload the following documents:

  1. General Health Physical Examination:
    1. Must be completed by an appropriate healthcare provider following the provisional acceptance letter offer date and before the start of the first didactic course. 
    2. If the physical examination is completed off UNL campus, the Physical Examination Form provided within the UNL ATCAS application must be used.
      • The Physical Examination Form is located in Appendix B and on the UNL ATCAS Application.
  2. Verification of the following immunizations:
    1. MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella)
    2. PPD Test (Tuberculosis Skin Test)
    3. Hepatitis B Vaccine or approved waiver (Accessible on the UNL ATCAS Application)
    4. Athletic Training Observation Hours Verification form- Completed and signed by supervising athletic trainer (available on the UNL ATCAS Application and on the UNL Athletic Training Program website: go.unl.edu/dn6c).
  3. UNL MSAT Technical Standards for Admission form (Accessible in Appendix A and on the UNL ATCAS Application.)
  4. UNL ATCAS Application:
    1. Applications submitted through ATCAS will be reviewed by the UNL Athletic Training Program Admissions Committee in the order they are received. Candidates whose applications meet, or are projected to meet, UNL Athletic Training Program admission criteria before the start of the next cohort will receive invitations for a web-based (e.g., Zoom) candidate interview. This interview will be evaluated as part of the UNL Athletic Training Program admissions process. Applications failing to meet, or projected to meet, UNL Athletic Training Program admission requirements will not be eligible for an interview.
