CH 2: Section 16 - NCAA Rules Policy

Athletic Training Students (ATS) will have direct interaction with University of Nebraska–Lincoln (UNL) student-athletes during their clinical education experiences. As representatives of the UNL Athletic Training Program (UNL ATP), all ATS are required to adhere to all NCAA rules and regulations governing UNL Athletic Department employees and student-athletes.

This includes, but is not limited to, compliance with the NCAA policy prohibiting betting or wagering on any amateur, collegiate, or professional sport sponsored by the NCAA. Additionally, ATS are strictly prohibited from sharing or disclosing any confidential or “inside” information about UNL athletes or teams at any time while affiliated with the UNL ATP.

Violation of these policies may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from the UNL Athletic Training Program.

Furthermore, the UNL ATP requires all ATS to attend any National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) compliance meetings or training sessions as requested by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln Athletic Department.
