Immediate termination from the UNL Athletic Training Program (UNL ATP) may occur if the UNL Athletic Training Program Disciplinary Panel determines that the student has committed one or more of the following violations:
- Failure to meet all conditions outlined in the probation improvement plan.
- Accumulating three infractions for the same or related incidents (as determined by the UNL Athletic Training Program Disciplinary Panel).
- Failure to meet all terms of the infraction improvement plan.
- Breach of confidentiality under FERPA or HIPAA.
- Unexcused absences from UNL ATP educational activities (Breach of Duty).
- Unprofessional conduct while representing UNL or the UNL ATP.
- Violation of NCAA rules.
- Arrest for crimes involving firearms, violence, crimes against vulnerable individuals (children, elderly, or disabled), or drug-related offenses, resulting in suspension until final adjudication.

- Violation of the UNL Student Code of Conduct, including but not limited to falsifying clinical hours, clinical documentation, cheating, and plagiarism: go.unl.edu/p50u.
If a student meets termination criteria, the Athletic Training Faculty Admissions Committee will submit a written recommendation for termination to the NHS Graduate Committee. Upon approval, the NHS Graduate Committee Chair will formally notify the Dean of Graduate Studies and the student.
