A leave of absence may be requested by a student in writing and submitted to the program director.
A student who requests a leave of absence for personal reasons must be in good academic and professional behavioral standing at the time the leave of absence is granted. Students must resume enrollment in the curriculum the following academic year.
Students placed on a leave of absence are responsible for notifying the program director, in writing, of their intention to return to the program no later than the date specified by the program director. Failure to do so will impact the student’s ability to return to the program.
During a required leave of absence, the faculty may recommend or require that the student meet additional conditions prior to re-enrollment in the program. Conditions may include, but are not limited to:
- Students returning from a leave of absence must re-submit all program required documentation as required by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Athletic Training Program (UNL ATP).
