WHO CAN RECEIVE A GUEST PERMIT?
- Visitors with no University of Nebraska affilitation
- Academic course guest speakers with no University of Nebraska affiliation
- Small groups of 4 people or less in a single vehicle
Permit Usage: Guest Permits are valid in non-reserved parking locations marked Area A or Area C on UNL City Campus or East Campus for one day only. (Need permits for mulitple days? Click here.) Metered parking stalls are excluded; guests must pay meters if they choose metered parking.
WHO CANNOT RECEIVE A GUEST PERMIT?
- University of Nebraska affiliates (students, faculty staff, employees, or vendors at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, University of Nebraska-Omaha, University of Nebraska-Kearney, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center) -Falsification or misrepresentation will result in the permit holder receiving a $50 Misuse of Permit citation
- Any one driving a vehicle currently registered with UNL Parking and Transit
- Attendees of on-site professional gatherings which are open to the public (meetings, seminars, conferences, symposiums, and workshops) -these are classified as Special Events and require a parking permit from the event coordinator
ALTERNATIVE VISITOR PARKING OPTIONS:
Visitors can purchase their own parking permits directly through the university's online parking system as an alternative to departmental pre-paid permits. This self-service option allows visitors to select appropriate parking locations and durations based on their specific needs.
