FedEx Shipment Request

Fed Ex Buttons

Package Preparation Guidelines:

Improperly prepared packages can experience shipping delays, delivery failures, or damage in transit. Additionally, incomplete documentation, such as an inaccurate mailing address or a missing Dry Ice label, can result in carrier rejection of the shipment. Please assure your package is carefully prepared according to the following guidelines:

  1. Use a sturdy box appropriate for the contents and shipping method.
    • Note: Styrofoam containers must be placed within a cardboard box. FedEx will not accept exposed Styrofoam shipments.
  2. Securely seal all holes, seams, and/or openings with packing tape.
  3. Reusing a box for shipping:
    • Remove all previous shipping labels, address stickers, barcodes, and markings
    • Cross out or completely cover any pre-printed information on the box that does not pertain to your current shipment (e.g., old company names, product descriptions, handling instructions)
    • Ensure the exterior is clean and free of any writing or markings that could obscure the shipping address or confuse the shipping process
  4. Packages including dry ice:
    • Sender is responsible for assuring shipments containing dry ice display a completed Dry Ice label on the front of the outgoing package.

Reference information:

While NHS Administrative Office team members facilitate the shipping process, they are not responsible for packages which do not meet proper preparation standards. The sender is responsible for ensuring each package for shipment is appropriately prepared, labeled, and compliant with all carrier requirements prior to form submission.
