1. FORM SUBMISSION TIMELINES

Non-perishable shipments >

Submit a minimum of 1 business day in advance
Dry ice/Refrigerated shipments >Submit no later than 1-2 hours before package is ready to ship
2. REMINDERS

  • Sender is responsible for ensuring outgoing packages are appropriately prepared, labeled, and compliant with carrier requirements.

  • NHS Admin. team members are available to provide guidance as you prepare your package for shipment, so feel free to reach out!

3. PACKAGE PREPARATION GUIDELINES

Use a sturdy box appropriate for the contents and shipping method:
 

  • Styrofoam containers should be placed in a corrugated cardboard box before shipment. Packages consisting of an exposed Styrofoam container alone may be refused by FedEx at the time of pick up.

  • When reusing a cardboard box:

    • Remove all previous shipping labels, address stickers, barcodes, and markings.

    • Cross out or completely cover any pre-printed information on the box that does not pertain to your current shipment (e.g., old company names, product descriptions, handling instructions).

    • Ensure the exterior is clean and free of any writing or markings that could obscure the shipping address or confuse the shipping process.

    • Securely seal all holes, seams, and/or opening with packing tape. 

  • Shipping materials including packing tape, cushioning fillers, cardboard boxes, dry ice labels, and other essentials are available in the Administrative Office.

Scheduling your package for pick up by FedEx:

 

  • If you plan to schedule your package for pick up by FedEx from the NHS mailroom, please keep in mind that same-day pick up cannot always be guaranteed after 12:00 PM. 

  • To assure same-day handling of your package after 12:00 PM, consider taking it directly to:
