Bekka Hitz inducted into Mortar Board for 2022-23

Bekka Hitz, a special education (7-12) major from Omaha, was among the 29 Huskers tapped into the Black Masque Chapter of Mortar Board during the Ivy Day ceremony April 2.

Mortar Board is a national honor society that recognizes college seniors for their achievements in scholarship, leadership and service, provides opportunities for continued leadership development, promotes service to colleges and universities, and encourages lifelong contributions to the global community.

"Being in Mortar Board is a huge honor," Hitz said. "I am so excited to get to be a part of this group of people who exemplify the three pillars of Mortar Board – scholarship, leadership, and service. I can't wait to continue to learn and grow from every person in the organization."
