Six SECD faculty honored with service awards

Six faculty in the Department of Special Education and Communication Disorders are among the employees being honored during a universitywide Celebration of Service Sept. 28 at the Lied Center for Performing Arts. 

Employees can pick up service awards in the Lied Commons starting at 8:30 a.m. The doors to the Lied Center auditorium open at 9:30 a.m. for Celebration of Service seating with the event beginning at 10 a.m. Following the celebration, Chancellor Ronnie Green will deliver the 2022 State of Our University Address at 11 a.m. 

Each year, the University of Nebraska-Lincoln celebrates employees who complete intervals of five calendar years of service with a service award. This year’s SECD service award recipients are:

Cynthia Cress, associate professor, 30 years

Alicia Davis, lecturer, 25 years

Kelly Pritchett, associate professor of practice, 15 years

Stacie Ray, professor of practice, 15 years

Marc Brennan, assistant professor, 5 years

Emily Wakefield, assistant professor of practice, 5 years
