Meet Hayley Corbridge, a freshman from Lincoln, Nebraska, who is majoring in communication sciences and disorders.

Why did you choose the University of Nebraska-Lincoln?

I chose UNL because one it is close to home but also because I love the campus. There are also many options to be involved and tons of options for clubs and help in hard classes.

What activities and organizations are you involved in on campus?

Dance Marathon, NSSLHA, Nebraska Stroke Association, Sammy's Superheroes

What has been your favorite class so far and why?

SLPA 251 with Dr. Cress! I really enjoy the content in this class. I find it very interesting. Dr. Cress is also any amazing professor, the way she teaches is exceptional and she is easy to approach.

What are your career goals?

My goal is to be a speech-language pathologist and work in the NICU with swallowing in preemies. I also hope to work with pediatric patients and provide a welcoming and open environment to the kiddos along with their caregivers!
