Brain imaging helps bring cochlear implantation success into focus

Josh Sevier receives 2019 Nebraska State Clinical Achievement Award

University of Nebraska-Lincoln assistant professor of practice Josh Sevier was awarded the 2019 Nebraska State Clinical Achievement Award at the Nebraska Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSLHA) fall convention in October.

As the winner of the state award, Sevier will be recognized as a nominee for the Louis M. DiCarlo Award for Recent Clinical Achievement, sponsored by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Foundation, at the annual American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) convention Nov. 21-23 in Orlando.

Nebraska faculty awarded grant to train special education leaders in intervention design

Beginning in August 2020, the faculty from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s special education program will train six doctoral students to design and provide academic interventions.

The program, which aims to develop leaders in the field of special education, is supported by more than $1.9 million in funding from the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs, the Barkley Memorial Center and Nebraska’s Office of Graduate Studies.
