Dr. Narendra Reddy is a Professor and Ramalingaswami Fellow at the Center for Emerging Technologies, Jain University, Bangalore. He graduated with his PhD from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2006 and was a faculty member in Textiles, Merchandising & Fashion Design until August 2013. Primary research interests of Dr. Reddy are in utilizing agricultural byproducts and coproducts to develop high value bioproducts for composite, food, medical, textile, automotive, electrical and other applications. Dr. Reddy has published about 90 research papers in biotechnology, polymer, materials science and agriculture journals and had also authored several book chapters and a book titled "Innovative Biofibers from Renewable Resources". He has been awarded the prestigious Ramalingaswami Fellowship from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. He is currently working on projects sponsored by state and central governments to develop bioproducts for industrial applications using renewable and sustainable sources.
