Andrew Zimbroff Associate Professor and Extension Specialist-Textiles and Apparel Entrepreneurship

Ph.D., 2013, The University of Texas at Austin
M.S., 2009, Stanford University
B.S., 2008, Stanford University

My extension work focuses on early stage entrepreneurship and business development.  My areas of expertise include market identification and research, identification of key customer segments, and analysis of legal and regulatory barriers.  I also teach entrepreneurship educational programs and use experiential learning to promote education and new business creation.

Additionally, I have worked extensively with technology transfer and commercialization of university research.  Successful commercialization of research goes beyond securing and licensing of intellectual property.  It is necessary to also assess the economic sustainability of a technology, and I work to analyze this commercial viability upon licensing.
