CH 1: Section 2 - Program Assessment

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln Athletic Training Program (UNL ATP) is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) and follows a comprehensive assessment plan designed to support continuous improvement. This plan gathers important data to evaluate the quality of instruction, student learning, and overall program effectiveness.

The program uses both direct and indirect measures, such as graduation and retention rates, employment outcomes, alumni surveys, Board of Certification (BOC) exam pass rates, course and preceptor evaluations, and clinical site evaluations. The information collected helps guide action plans that strengthen and enhance the program.

The UNL ATP is currently in good standing with CAATE and is scheduled for its next self-study and site visit in the 2032–2033 academic year.
