I am charged with helping Textiles, Merchandising & Fashion Design and Nebraska Extension to build on and expand the reach and effectiveness of existing youth entrepreneurship curricula and to develop, disseminate and evaluate programs focused on entrepreneurship development for youth, women, immigrants and underserved constituencies. I teach experiential learning courses regarding product development, entrepreneurship, and innovation for students and professionals. I also develop collaborative frameworks and networks aimed at strengthening and sustaining the social and economic ecosystems that make successful communities places where people want to live and work.

The focus area of my entrepreneurial career has been innovative product and business development. I have worked as a Senior Product Manager at Amazon.com, Inc. after completing my M.B.A. degree with concentration of Entrepreneurial Management as well as Marketing and Operations Management; co-founded MA.CHEF, a Seoul startup company offering online and mobile platforms for personal chef services; served as Strategic Planning Manager and Change Agent for Korea Telecom at Innovation Management Center and CEO’s office; and served as Human Resources Consultant for Sun Microsystems, among other positions. Throughout my career, I have launched many products and businesses in diverse industries.

My current research interests include experiential entrepreneurship education for youth empowerment, social entrepreneurship on gender and ethnic minorities, community development through entrepreneurial projects, and strategies on developing entrepreneurial ecosystems globally.
