Husker students craft holiday window display for Sapahn: A blend of visual merchandising and consumer research

A group of students taking a course in the Department of Textiles, Merchandising, and Fashion Design (TMFD) embraced a unique challenge. Under the guidance of Associate Professor Jennifer Johnson Jorgensen, these students in TMFD 413/813 Merchandising III were tasked with creating a captivating holiday window display for Sapahn's brick-and-mortar store.

Exploring Futures: South High Students Dive into UNL's TMFD Department

The Department of Textiles, Merchandising, and Fashion Design (TMFD) in the College of Education and Human Sciences welcomed 19 third- and fourth-year Fashion Pathway students from South High in Omaha for a visit last month. These students were given an opportunity to explore the diverse array of experiences and opportunities that TMFD has to offer.

Eastmont Towers Retirement Community Visit Hillestad Gallery with Namesake

Residents of Eastmont Towers visited the Robert Hillestad Textiles Gallery in the Department of Textiles Merchandising and Fashion Design (TMFD). Dr. Robert Hillestad, emeritus faculty and previous TMFD chair, along with Tina Tyler, the activities coordinator from Eastmont Towers, led the group.
