Student Monitoring/Retention

Student Monitoring of Performance/Student Retention

The College of Education and Human Sciences Academic Advising Center monitors student performance each semester in order to identify those students who may not meet the requirements for graduation and/or a Verification Statement.  When a student is identified to be at risk, the advisors will suggest a change of major/option.  If the student insists on staying in the Nutrition and Science option, they are instructed to make an appointment with the DPD Program Director to discuss their career goals.

Students who decide to explore other majors/options have several choices within the Department of Nutrition and Health Sciences and the College of Education and Human Sciences.  These options include Nutrition, Exercise and Health Science; Community Health and Wellness; Hospitality, Restaurant and Tourism Management; Human Development and Family Science and Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education.
