Nomination Letter: A Candidate may nominate themselves or be nominated by a unit affiliate. A nomination letter must be submitted to the unit Administrator indicated interest in the development of a Courtesy Appointment. In the letter, the nominator should address the following:
- The nominee’s current position within the NU-System and current rank;
- The nominee’s qualifications and credentials relevant to each of the Requirements (listed above) for Courtesy Appointment status within the unit;
- How the Courtesy Appointment of the nominee will benefit the unit;
- Preference for length of appointment (varying from 1 to 5 years); and
- Benefits to the candidate through Courtesy Appointment status.
Curriculum Vitaé: A recent curriculum vitaé must be attached with the Nomination Letter. The vitaé must address the candidate’s credentials in teaching, research, extension, and/or service.
