NEW! Great Plains IDeA-CTR Team Development Pilot

The Team Development grant will provide up to $50,000 over one year to foster new team formation with cross-disciplinary and cross institutional integration of basic, preclinical, clinical implementation, and public health research. Research priorities include behavioral health, chronic disease, and injury prevention and violence. Single investigators working in isolation are not eligible; teams must have a minimum of two co-PIs from different disciplines.

NEW! National Endowment for the Humanities Dangers and Opportunities of Technology: Perspectives from the Humanities

This program supports research that examines technology and its relationship to society through the lens of the humanities, with a focus on the dangers and/or opportunities presented by technology. NEH is particularly interested in projects that examine the role of technology in shaping current social and cultural issues. The program support projects led individual researchers (up to $75K) and by collaborative teams (up to $150K).

NEW! NSF Advancing Informal Science Learning (AISL)

The AISL Program is committed to funding research and practice, with continued focus on investigating a range of informal STEM learning (ISL) experiences and environments that make lifelong learning a reality. The current solicitation encourages proposals from institutions and organizations that serve public audiences, and specifically focus on public engagement with and understanding of STEM, including community STEM; public participation in scientific research (PPSR); science communication; intergenerational STEM engagement; and STEM media. The AISL Program funds five types of projects: (1) Synthesis; (2) Conference; (3) Partnership Development and Planning; (4) Integrating Research and Practice; and (5) Research in Support of Wide-reaching Public Engagement with STEM.

NEW! NIH Research with Activities Related to Diversity (ReWARD)

This program’s overarching goal is to enhance the breadth and geographical location of research and research-related activities supported by NIH. The grant will support scientific research in areas related to the programmatic interests of one or more of the participating NIH Institutes and Centers (ICs) and ongoing DEIA activities focused on enhancing diversity in the biomedical research enterprise within the United States and territories.

U.S. Department of Education Institute of Education Science (IES) Education Research Grants

This program seeks to expand the understanding of education programs, practices, and policies in the United States and how they are related to education outcomes for learners at all levels, including early childhood, elementary, secondary, postsecondary, and adult education. This program seeks to build high-quality evidence about what works for whom, in what context, and why. Grants support the development and validation of measurement tools, exploratory research, the development and pilot testing of new interventions, and impact studies to evaluate programs, practices, and policies. This research program invites applications across a wide range of substantive topic areas.

IES Research Training Programs in Special Education

These training programs seek to prepare individuals to conduct rigorous and relevant special education and early intervention research that advances knowledge within the field and addresses issues important to education policymakers and practitioners. For FY 2024, there is one training program in special education—early career development and mentoring.

Spencer Foundation – Research-Practice Partnerships: Collaborative research for educational change

This program supports education research projects that engage in collaborative and participatory partnerships with project budgets up to $400,000 and durations of up to three years. Research is to result in new insights into the processes, practices, and policies that improve education for learners, educators, families, communities, and institutions where learning and teaching happen.
