NEW! U.S. Department of Ed. - Personnel Development to Improve Services and Results for Children with Disabilities. Preparation of Related Services Personnel Serving Children with Disabilities who Have High-Intensity Needs.

The purposes of this program are to (1) help address State-identified needs for personnel preparation in early intervention, special education, related services, and regular education to work with children, including infants, toddlers, and youth, with disabilities; and (2) ensure that those personnel have the necessary skills and knowledge, derived from practices that have been determined through scientifically based research, to be successful in serving those children.

NEW! NIH - Effectiveness of Implementing Sustainable Evidence-Based Mental Health Practices in Low-Resource Settings to Achieve Mental Health Equity for Traditionally Underserved Populations (R01 Clinical Trial Optional)

This initiative is focused on developing and testing the effectiveness of strategies to deliver evidence-based mental health services, treatment interventions, and/or preventive interventions (EBPs) in low-resource mental health specialty and non-specialty settings within the United States, where EBPs are not currently delivered or delivered with fidelity, such that there are disparities in mental health and related functional outcomes (e.g., employment, educational attainment, stable housing retention and integration in the community, treatment of comorbid substance use disorders).

NIFA Food and Agriculture Service Learning Program (FASLP)

FASLP provides awards up to $240,000 (including indirect costs) to support 1) projects that bring together stakeholders from the distinct parts of the food system to increase the capacity for food, garden, and nutrition education within host organizations or entities, such as school cafeterias and classrooms, while fostering higher levels of community engagement between farms and school systems and 2) the development of leadership skills, knowledge, and qualities necessary to prepare students for food and agricultural and related careers in the private sector, government, and academia. This is a limited submission (one proposal per applicant organization).

NSF EHR Core Research: Building Capacity in STEM Education Research

ECR’s Building Capacity in STEM Education Research (ECR: BCSER) supports projects that build investigators’ capacity to carry out high-quality STEM education research that will enhance the nation’s STEM education enterprise. In addition, ECR: BCSER seeks to broaden the pool of researchers who can advance knowledge regarding STEM learning and learning environments, broadening participation in STEM fields, and STEM workforce development.

Great Plains IDeA-CTR Team Development Pilot

The Team Development grant will provide up to $50,000 over one year to foster new team formation with cross-disciplinary and cross institutional integration of basic, preclinical, clinical implementation, and public health research. Research priorities include behavioral health, chronic disease, and injury prevention and violence. Single investigators working in isolation are not eligible; teams must have a minimum of two co-PIs from different disciplines.

NSF Advancing Informal Science Learning (AISL)

The AISL Program is committed to funding research and practice, with continued focus on investigating a range of informal STEM learning (ISL) experiences and environments that make lifelong learning a reality. The current solicitation encourages proposals from institutions and organizations that serve public audiences, and specifically focus on public engagement with and understanding of STEM, including community STEM; public participation in scientific research (PPSR); science communication; intergenerational STEM engagement; and STEM media. The AISL Program funds five types of projects: (1) Synthesis; (2) Conference; (3) Partnership Development and Planning; (4) Integrating Research and Practice; and (5) Research in Support of Wide-reaching Public Engagement with STEM.

NIH Research with Activities Related to Diversity (ReWARD)

This program’s overarching goal is to enhance the breadth and geographical location of research and research-related activities supported by NIH.
