Flexible educational opportunities in China
09 Nov 2012
It is now possible for UNL students to go to Xian Jiaotong University in Xi'an China for a semester or some other arranged time and learn Chinese language, culture, history, calligraphy, tai chi, and other things.
In April of this year Chancellor Perlman and Zheng Nanning, president of Xian Jiaotong University, formally established the American Exchange Center on the campus of XJTU. The Center serves the entire University of Nebraska system and includes an on-site American staff person and a physical space on the XJTU campus. One mission of the center is to facilitate student and faculty exchanges.
Susan Song, Executive Dean of the School of International Education at XJTU will visit UNL next week to describe programs for students interested in learning more about China.
