Haitian education leader will visit Nov. 7

The Nebraska Center for Research on Children, Youth, Families and Schools invites you to join us for an informal conversation with Oreus Jr. Pierre visit will take place Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in 242 Mabel Lee Hall.

This is a unique opportunity to hear firsthand accounts about education in Haiti, and, additionally,  local efforts to empower La Montagne’s children by supporting educational improvements there.

We also invite you to enjoy a glimpse into Haiti’s cultural heritage at a Nov. 7 performance by Compagnie de Danse Jean-Rene Delsoin, a dynamic dance troupe from Petion-Ville, Haiti. Tickets to this 7 p.m. event, which takes place at Lincoln’s Lied Center for Performing Arts, are available to special guests for $5.
