Join educators, school-aged scholars, leaders, and allies from across Nebraska for two inspiring days focused on building community, strengthening leadership, and advancing educational justice!

Hosted by the University of Nebraska–Lincoln in partnership with Lincoln Public Schools, the 8th Annual Educators of Color and Allies Summit brings together educators, administrators, faculty, pre-service educators, scholars, and community partners committed to schools where every learner experiences belonging, opportunity, and success.

2026 Featured Facilitator

We are honored to welcome Altagracia Montilla, a nationally recognized facilitator, speaker, and thought leader whose work explores belonging and spaces where individuals and communities can thrive. Through engaging dialogue and practical strategies, participants will be challenged to think differently about leadership, community, and educational transformation.

Our Purpose

The Educators of Color and Allies Summit strengthens the network of educators and allies committed to educational justice throughout Nebraska.Together, we recognize that representation matters and that authentic relationships, shared learning, and collective action create educational environments where scholars, educators, and communities flourish.

The Summit provides opportunities to:

• Explore innovative, equitable, and liberatory educational practices.

• Share strategies for collaboration, advocacy, leadership, and self-care.
