Skyler Reagle, finance coordinator in the College of Education and Human Sciences, was selected as the latest recipient of the Staff Star Award presented by the CEHS Staff Council.
Since joining the CEHS business team in January 2025, Reagle quickly learned complex processes, and has mastered the systems and skills required for her role. In April 2025, she led the travel training portion of the business team’s finance process update for the college, providing clear guidance to a large group of faculty and staff. During the fall semester, she led a college-wide initiative to help departments evaluate their existing data ports and coordinated the shutdown requests for those no longer needed.
“Skyler’s work has consistently been praised for its accuracy, professionalism, and exceptional customer service,” one nominator wrote. “Skyler’s initiative, strong communication skills, and dedication to service have made her an invaluable asset to our team and the broader campus community.”
Reagle has also participated in several pilot projects at both the university and the college levels, including a new accounts receivable module for the university’s accounting system and a new CEHS travel website, contributing valuable feedback in every instance. Her proactive leadership, attention to detail and collaboration skills have garnered praise from faculty and staff across the college who have worked with her.
“Skyler is one of the most kind and helpful people I have encountered during my time at UNL as a staff member,” another nominator wrote. “Not only is she incredibly responsive to questions, but she’s the kind of person where if she doesn’t know the answer, she’s not going to stop looking. I feel really lucky we have someone like Skyler on our business team.”
The Staff Star Award recognizes CEHS staff members who go above and beyond their scope of duties. It is given on a quarterly basis, and the next nomination deadline is April 30. To nominate a staff member for a Staff Star Award, click here.
