Lieutenant Colonel Tom Hammerle is an Active Duty Army Special Forces and Strategic Intelligence Officer currently assigned as the Professor of Military Science and Department Chair at Eastern Washington University (ROTC).
Tom has 18 years of service with 7 combat deployments to the Middle East and Afghanistan in various leadership, director, and command positions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Leadership and Development from Texas A&M University, a Master of Agriculture Science from Colorado State University, a Master of Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University, and Graduate Certificates in Nuclear Weapons Effects, Plans, and Policy from Air Force Institute of Technology (in progress) and in Strategy and Policy Development from the U.S. Army War College.
Research Interests:
Adult Experiential Education, Leadership, Deterrence Theory and Operations, Terrorism and Insurgency, Intelligence and National Security.
