Beware new phishing scheme targeting UNL

Beware new phishing scheme targeting UNL

30 Jan 2014

A new phishing scheme has been reported, one that is specific to the UNL community. A phishing scheme is an attempt to gather your private information through email by using deception, fake links, and fake web sites.

Some UNL employees and students have received an email claiming to be from the Dean of Libraries. It asks individuals to click a link in the email to confirm that their library account is active. The link goes to a page that looks very much like UNL’s My.UNL log-in page. It is a fake page.

DO NOT respond to this email.

If you have any questions, please contact CEHS IT support, or call 2-0096.
