"The purpose of our trip is to learn more about the Chinese culture and how Chinese families, communities and schools are influenced by it. We hope that the students and faculty will not only gain a greater appreciation for the Chinese culture and way of life, but that they may also see how the American and Chinese cultures have and continue to influence one another. It is our goal that students visit some of the important historical sites, observe daily activities, learn how to navigate themselves in a foreign environment, and interact with Chinese students and families. We hope that students and faculty return to the United States with fond memories of their culture experiences and new friendships."
