CEHS online graduate education program ranked #5

In its annual ranking of online graduate education programs, the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln is ranked fifth nationally by U.S. News and World Report. The ranking is up six spots from last year and applies to master’s in education degree programs.

U.S. News and World Report bases the rankings on several factors such as accreditation, admissions selectivity and academic and career support services. The number five ranking places UNL behind only Penn State (fourth) in the rankings among Big Ten institutions.

“Distance education is an important part of our overall effort to provide high quality graduate education to students worldwide," said Marjorie Kostelnik, dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences. "We are pleased that our quality, diversity of programs and convenience have been recognized.”

Master’s programs included in this ranking include four CEHS departments: Child, Youth and Family Studies; Educational Administration; Special Education and Communication Disorders; and Teaching, Learning and Teacher Education. The programs are offered by CEHS through University of Nebraska Online Worldwide, a collaborative online initiative that provides access to more than 100 online degree, certificate and endorsement programs through the four campuses of NU.
