Distance and Blended Education Spring 2014 Colloquium

CEHS faculty and staff are welcome to attend the Blended and Online Learning Colloquium: Supporting Research-Based Instructional Strategies with Technology, April 14th, Unity Room (212) in the Jackie Gaughan Multicultural Center. This Colloquium will highlight a number of instructional strategies and technologies that can be used in a diverse class environments (i.e., fully online, blended, flipped, and in-person).

  • Morning Session: 10:00 a.m. to 11:20 a.m: Blending a large enrollment undergraduate course to bring hands-on active learning to the classroom. Presented by the College of Architecture and the Raikes School
  • Luncheon Session: 11:30 a.m. to 1:20 p.m.
  • “Teaching Creativity in a Fully Online Environment,” keynote Presentation by Peter Lloyd, creator and instructor of the fully online “Design Thinking: Creativity for the 21st Century,” the United Kingdom Open University.
  • Afternoon Session: 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.: Case Studies: technology supporting research-based instructional strategies.
