Christa Rahl successfully defends master’s thesis

14 Apr 2023

Christa Rahl has successfully defended her master’s thesis titled “The Gendered Experience of Female Resident Assistants,” as part of the Student Affairs Administration master’s degree program in the Department of Educational Administration in the College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Rahl is a native of Papillion, Nebraska.

The research took a closer look at what it is like for female resident assistants on college campuses to do their job in a world that privileges men through the lens of a phenomenological transformative paradigm. The research is based on Joan Acker's Theory of Gendered Organizations and five participants' experiences through interviews.

Rahl’s advisor was Stephanie Bondi, associate professor of practice at Nebraska.
