Stephanie Bondi receives diversity leadership faculty award

Stephanie Bondi, associate professor of practice in the Department of Educational Administration has received the inaugural Diversity Leadership Faculty Award from the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.

The award honors a faculty member who has demonstrated a significant contribution toward creating a diverse and inclusive university community through the implementation of policies, research, procedures, initiatives and or/programs reflective of the university’s core values and beliefs.

Bondi's research focuses on teaching and learning; student affairs preparation; dominance, equity and oppression; and neocolonialism. She leads the CEHS AFIRE program, which has a mission of promoting inclusion, respect, and equity for faculty, staff and students in the College of Education and Human Sciences. Her work across campus has been described as “essential to the understanding of critical diversity issues.”
